ME
I was born and raised in a Buddhist family in Taiwan. When I was baptized at the age of 17 in college, all I wanted was to become a child of God. When I immersed myself into the stories from the Bible, the concept of God started making sense to me. There were many stories that did not resonate with me until I joined a faith community, to learn about how messy our lives could be, how precious God's forgiving grace is. We are called not just to live in the new life that Jesus Christ has given to us but to follow the examples of Jesus Christ to build relationships with all kinds of people, to offer ourselves in ministries for the sake of others, to create a respectful and loving communities where draws people into God's loving arms and where commissions God's people out into the world to share God's promises.
I came to the U.S. in the year of 1993 and met my husband who was pursuing Master of Divinity in Austin, TX. Meeting my husband enriched my faith in God and relationship with God's people. I began to get more involved in teaching ministry from the year of 2002. The more I got involved, the more I felt that I was not well equipped. With blessings of God and of my faith community, I went to Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago for Master of Divinity in 2004, graduated and was ordained in 2010.
I have served at Grace Lutheran Church from July 2010 to January 2013, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 2013, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church from January 2014 to June 2015.
I've been a full time student at Wheaton College Graduate School since August, 2015. I plan to graduate in December, 2016. I really enjoy learning and prayerfully discern what my next serving opportunity might be.
